We are Laurie and Sébastien, Sacha’s parents.
La Lumière de Sacha was born from an unconditional love for our only son, a 7-year-old child living with an extremely rare genetic mutation, but also from a deep commitment: to support him every day with patience, kindness, and hope.
Faced with a daily life shaped by multiple challenges, uncertainties and constant adaptations, we chose to turn this journey into a source of purpose. Not only to face these realities, but also to give Sacha the best possible opportunities for fulfilment, communication, independence and connection with others.
This association was created to meet a very concrete need: helping Sacha access the tools, support services and adaptations that can improve his quality of life and encourage his development when existing assistance is not enough.
But beyond material needs, La Lumière de Sacha is also built on a deep conviction: no child should grow up isolated because of their differences, and no family should have to face such a unique journey alone.
Through this association, we hope to raise awareness, create connections, encourage inclusion, and help Sacha grow up surrounded, supported and fully engaged with the world around him.
