The Story of Sacha

Un enfant de lumière

Sacha is 7 years old. He is a joyful, sensitive and affectionate little boy, deeply drawn to others and always eager to share moments with the people around him. He loves to laugh, play little pranks, tease his cat Tango, and fully enjoy the simple pleasures of everyday life.

Very sociable by nature, Sacha has a remarkable ability to connect with people.
His curiosity and openness have led us to many wonderful encounters. This is what we call his light: his unique way of reaching out to others, touching hearts and creating connections, even when life places so many challenges in his path.

Ses passions

Music holds a special place in Sacha’s life.
Luciano Pavarotti, choirs and powerful voices soothe him, move him and bring him joy.

Water is his refuge. In the water, Sacha seems freer, lighter and more at peace.

Finding suitable places is not always easy, but he goes swimming every week and eagerly looks forward to it.

He also enjoys walks, evenings by the sea, playing pétanque or ball games, riding his bicycle, meeting up with his friends from the harbour, and cherishing those simple moments that mean so much to him.

Son histoire

Behind his smile and his joy for life lies a daily reality that is far more complex than it may appear.

Sacha lives with a rare medical condition that affects many aspects of his development and independence. His journey is built one step at a time, requiring constant adaptation and often with very few reference points to guide the way.

Communication is one of his greatest challenges. With those who know him well, Sacha can make himself understood through gestures, sounds, facial expressions and eye contact.
With others, communication can be more difficult.
Yet he naturally seeks connection and deeply enjoys being with people.

At school, Sacha attends first grade within an inclusive support programme. He loves learning, taking part in activities and spending time with his classmates.
Even though his daily life requires a great deal of energy, he remains curious, determined and happy to share these moments.

Sacha needs assistance with many everyday tasks and progresses towards greater independence at his own pace. He explores the world with enthusiasm, although he is not always able to recognize danger, which requires close supervision.

Despite the challenges, one thing remains unchanged: his light.

His ability to laugh, to love, to reach out to others, to enjoy the smallest moments of happiness, and to remind us every day that differences take nothing away from the beauty of a life.
